Ganon Aleph Enjoys ECD Chanukah Chagiga

Ganon Aleph had so much fun singing and dancing to the music of BaRock Orchestra at our chagiga on Monday morning.  What a great way to celebrate our week of Chanukah in Yavneh!

Pre-Purim Fun

Purim festivities are in full swing! Mrs. Cohen came to all the classes on Rosh Chodesh Adar for a very fishy lesson! (Fish are a significant Purim symbol.) She taught the children a fun fingerplay about going fishing, showed them a real fish, and brought a special treat so each child could catch their own fish with a pretzel fishing rod, marshmallow fluff bait, and jelly fish!

Later in the day the Ganon classes had a special visit from Rabbi Srulovitz and a couple of his middle schoolers who performed some special cup tricks for us, and then Inbal (one of Yavneh's Sheirut Leumi girls) came to talk to us about Purim in Israel and sang and danced with the children.

All this week the children had fun acting out the Purim story in our drama corner which has been transformed into a Shushan palace, complete with thrones, crowns, scepters, capes, and jewelry.

The week ended with a lively Purim chagiga in the gym together with the other early childhood classes. What a fun pre-Purim week we had!!

Fun on Shushan Purim

We had loads of fun on Shushan Purim! The children loved seeing each other in costume, as well as all of the morot and the other children in school. We all enjoyed a very entertaining puppet show performed by ventriloquist Jonathan Geffner and his puppet friends Shmendrick, Ezra, Chippy, and Mr. Monster. We then danced in the gym to the festive music of BaRock Orchestra.

Chanukah Chagigah

On Wednesday morning we enjoyed a festive Chanukah chagigah in the gym with the other early childhood classes where we sang and danced to the music of BaRock Orchestra. Please enjoy the attached video!

Chanukah Chagiga - Gan Gimmel

Dancing and music were all the rage today in Gan Gimmel. First we had music with Morah Roberta and sang and acted out Chanukah songs. Then, went to a Chanukah Chagigah in the gym. Live music filled the room. We sang, danced, and played follow the leader around the gym for fun and entertainment.
