Ganon Bet was very lucky to have two pumpkins; one large and the other smaller. We passed around the pumpkins. We felt how hard they were and estimated which one weighed more.
We cut the pumpkins in half and counted the seeds. One pumpkin had over 300 seeds and the other had over 400 seeds. Ask your child which pumpkin had more seeds; the larger one or the smaller one.
Nikki's Mommy came to our class to make pumpkin muffins with us. We are taking our muffins home for a Shabbat treat.
We took some pumpkin seeds and baked them with a little salt. Some of the children enjoyed the pumpkin seed snack.
We took some raw pumpkin seeds and decided to plant them. We know the seeds need water, sun and air to grow. We hope our seeds grow, so we can plant them in our garden in the Spring.
