Celebrations - and the Festivities Continue

Last week we celebrated two very special days at Yavneh. There were some similarities and some differences between Yom Yerushalayim and Rosh Chodesh Sivan.
On both Yom Yerushalayim and Rosh Chodesh the children wore blue and white, and celebrated with special foods.
Although it was raining on Yom Yerushalayim, we enjoyed a scrumptious indoor fleishig barbecue of hotdogs, hamburgers and all the toppings to go with it.

On Friday, we celebrated Rosh Chodesh Sivan, with a surprise visit from the ice cream truck.   The children enjoyed ice scream, screwballs and slushies (milchig) which were nice and refreshing on the warm, hot day.
