Ready to build a snowman and do a little engineering???
It takes practice and learning to understand how big the base of the snowman should be, and the relative sizes of the other two snowballs. Be prepared to let children try to put a large head on top, then figure out why it didn't stay on. While building, use the words "more" and "less," as well as "bigger" and "smaller" to help build these important scientific and mathematical concepts.

Bear Sets & Subsets in Ganon Bet

We played a game with different colored bears. We manipulated the bears into different groups based on either their size or color. We then divided ourselves according to the color of our clothes, eyes, and hair color. We were able to establish multiple sets based on these categories. It was so much fun that we have asked to repeat this great learning activity.

Ganon Bet learns about sets!

In math,
we learned the concept of sets and subsets. We drew three colored circles and placed different colored bears in each circle. We manipulated the bears into different groups based on either their size or their color. We also created different patterns using the bears.
