A Windy Day In March With Ganon Bet

They say March comes in like a lion. Today the wind outside felt like a lion roaring. Ganon Bet took advantage of those strong winds and had a great time flying kites.

Ganon Bet Learns About The Wind

We have become real wind observers. We discovered that wind carries pollen and seeds through the air. We can’t see the wind but we can see what it does and we can feel its force. We see the wind move the clouds and leaves and flowers. We can hear the wind rustle the leaves and feel the cool breeze on our skin. We blew feathers, pompoms and crayons just with our mouths, and then we blew them with a straw. Ask us what happened. We also played with scarves and watched them float in the air. We also flew paper airplanes and kites and watched them float on the air currents.

March Comes In Like A Lion

March is a great time to learn about the wind. Ganon Bet discovered that we can't see the wind ,but we can feel its breeze on our bodies. We observed the wind move the clouds, leaves, and tree branches. We experimented in our classroom, pretending to be the wind blowing on crayons and feathers. We even tried keeping a balloon in the air by blowing on it. We learned about air currents by floating scarfs and paper air planes in the air.
