Paper and Paint-less Mondrian

New Age-Mondrian
Last week we learned about a new artist, Piet Mondrian.
After using the traditional art supplies to make their Mondrian inspired art work,
we used iPads to create a digital Mondrian inspired picture!

Here are some of the final products!

Aspiring Artist in Gan Gimmel

As an introduction to our art history program we began our exploration with talking about primary colors. We learned that red, yellow, and blue are primary colors.
The children each sat down next to a paper plate that had 6 empty cirlcles:
They then received a drop of red, yellow and blue paint:

We began by placing a drop of red paint and mixing it with yellow and we created orange!

Next they took yellow and added some blue and made green!

Lastly they took blue and mixed in some red and came our with purple!
