Our Very Own Siddur

[Teacher's note: May is blogging month. In honor of this, we are teaching the children about writing a blog post. This post was worked on by Elad Shushan, Moshe Sedek, Ilana Lemonik, and Eliana Neugroschl. The children decided which activity they would like to write about and then typed it up on an IPad. We hope you enjoy their first blog post!]

We are making a siddur. A siddur has Hebrew letters that mean stuff. Today we did a page for Modeh Ani. Modeh Ani means to say thank you to Hashem for sleeping and waking us up. We are thankful for our families and our food too. We will use the siddur in the summer when we are not in school. We colored a picture of our rooms with new markers. We cut out a picture of us. Then we glued it on the page. We can't wait to use it!

  1. What a fabulous and functional activity! Their siddurim will be something that they can keep, use and be reminded of when thinking about their fabulous year in Gan Gimmel!
