We have continued our study of Parshat Noach. The children were fascinated by the tevah. They had several questions including "How did the tevah stay afloat and Why didn't the tevah sink if it was so heavy?" We had a class discussion and the decision was that Hashem helped Noach, his family and the animals. The children decided that they would like to try and build their own boats.
With the material available they began, working in small groups, to design their boats. When they were satisfied with the design they began constructing their boats. When all of the children have completed their boats we will be taking the boats outside to test if they will sink or float.
